70s Chic, Fall Fashion

The Autumn 2011 season is upon us and with BTS (back-to-school) happening all around it is easy to see that to be in step with style this season you'll have to jump back a few decades and dawn some retro rags.

Getting down and dirty with the 70s can be a fun fashion fling for anyone's wardrobe and it doesn't take much to be in touch with this trend. Dig deep in your closet and find those flare-legged jeans from a few years back, pair them with a killer platformed heel and you are stylishly synced with a trend that can go bad fast.

Anyone can easily make a modern outfit fit this trend by adorning a flow-y chiffon top or a big crazy print and paring with some sleek skinnies and boots. This groovy look can be rocked by almost anyone and can be as subtle or as straight-out 70s as you wish!

While this trend can be adapted to the masses simply by doing the above, for the girl looking to drop some dough and get some really unique pieces this fall I recommend hitting up the vintage shops and stopping by an H&M. This yellow shift screams retro with it's micro length, bell-sleeves and crew neckline.

This dress is perfect for grabbing an afternoon or catching an early morning fall lecture. A bit crazier and way more psychedelic than the yellow shift, this printed mini shown over a turtleneck is in a word fun.

It would be ideal for a date night or going out with the girls and can transition into the winter and spring by changing up with color of the tights and undershirt worn.

This final look is definitely meant to be worn for a night on the town. I would wear this all year round and while it would still be white after labor day, lets face the facts....that rule of fashion is way past passe and this floaty frock would compliment any body type.

Cashmere &Cowboy Boots is not endorsed by any of the brands written about. I am simply a fan of their fashions and have decided to share them with my readers. In the mountains of Northeastern Pennsylvania the trends above will live long and prosper in about six months...it looks like I will be standing out in the crowd again quite soon. Just the way I like it.

While I personally am not a huge fan of trends, every so many seasons they are just so good that it is worth it to find a way to work them into your wardrobe. By utilizing the central shapes worn during those trendy decades it is possible to make the trends fit your own personal style.
