Morgan M. Harding
I started "Cashmere & Cowboy Boots" in 2011 after worrying that my writing skills were going to go dull over summer break. During the first year of part-time blogging I developed my pre-existing love of fashion.
Through my blog I connected to some of my favorite designers and attended New York Fashion Week to cover a multitude of events several times.
During 2012 I was selected by Michelle Smith & the Milly NY team to be a part of the inaugural "Style Setter" program. I worked with Milly as a Brand Ambassador and was named "Ambassador of the Month" for the summer.
My blog came to a slow halt during 2013 so I could focus on an internship with The Scranton Times-Tribune as well as writing my senior thesis, which focused on the mature womenswear market and the lack of options these women are given. During this time I also started working as a part-time sales associate at Yuki's Clothing & Accessories.
Prior to graduation I accepted a promotion at the store to become the boutique manager and assistant womenswear and accessories buyer. I love my job.
For nearly six months I wrote the fashion column "Beyond Thread" for the Wilkes-Barre Times Leader, a Civitas Media publication. My bi-weekly, later promoted to weekly, column covered everything from trend pieces to how-to-wear-it guides and even my favorite – fashion economic pieces. "Beyond Thread" was canceled in late October due to a content disagreement.
I am now working on relaunching my blog and starting a new website – which you will find out about here first – I promise.
If you have a topic you would like me to cover, have any questions or comments email me at Cashmereandcowboyboots@gmail.com. I would love to hear from you!
